    About this opportunity:Dunshalt Community Shop and Cafe near Cupar, are owned by the community. They were the first village in Fife to take its only shop into its own hands and run it as a social enterprise for the good of the community! They take pride in filling the shop with local suppliers including local breads, meat, dairy products and craft and they have a great friendly atmosphere.

    The Community Shop and Cafe offers a great opportunity in customer services, barista tasks, helping with kitchen activities like baking or soup making, restocking shelves, serving customers. There are also back of house opportunities such as helping with newspaper deliveries and recycling. As the shop and café are open 7 days a week there are plenty opportunities available, and shifts can be adjusted to fit with bus times.

    They would like volunteers to give 4 hours per day, once a week, either 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm.

    Training provided:Supervision, training and support from the Shop Manager as well as other members of staff and the committee will be given. Training as necessary, dependent on your skills and experience, will include e.g. first aid, level 2 health and hygiene. They have a range of policies and training packs to help with training schedules.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Public transport up to a maximum of £5 per shift can be reimbursed, with mileage rate is 35p per mile up to a maximum of £5 per shift.

    Experience required:Volunteers should enjoy working with people, have a willingness to learn, be adaptable and friendly, and it would be helpful if you are good with numbers .
